new system - Eddie does not recognize login

I just setup a new (old) system with Linux Mint 20.0 and after installing Eddie  unlike previous times Eddie does not connect.It keeps saying login is incorrect. . I can log into the website using the same credentials and can connect via command-line, but not with Eddie.  Even after generating a new token my system/device does not appear and Eddie still will not login..  Tried both stable and beta versions.  I have never had problems like this with Eddie.  Any ideas?  will post solution if found.
