ANSWERED No connection after turning VPN off

Hello community,

since a few days, my connection drops after turning VPN off. I'm running Eddie 2.22.2 on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS. The issue occurs both with OpenVPN and Wireguard. I found out that the DNS servers do not update after turning off VPN or closing Eddie:
 

cat /etc/resolv.conf 

The output remains the same after closing the connection. It still uses nameservers set by Eddie. If i manually set another dns server in resolve.conf (e.g. my router's IP), things work again. How can I prevent the entries to be persisted in resolv.conf?

Ok, strange. After manually setting local dns servers (provided by my router) in /etc/resolv.conf, settings are reverted properly after turning off VPN.
I am not sure what caused the issue. I remember that I once rebooted my system while Eddie was opened and connected to an AirVPN server. Maybe that caused the confusion regarding /etc/resolv.conf. 
Now it works.
