xvq 1 Posted ... I am experiencing an intermittent issue on Windows 10 with blocked internet connection. The issue comes and goes. When the issue happens I cannot reach any internet traffic like google.com, but internal network access works fine and other devices on the same network are able to connect to internet just fine. Without an action from me the issue usually goes away after 10-20 minutes. I have tried various windows repair tools, as well as disabling firewall and this has not helped. Getting to why I'm writing on AirVPN forum - I use the EddieUI client. I have tried to open EddieUI when I experienced the issue and connect to a VPN server which was not successful. But when I closed EddieUI the internet connection was working again. I have since been able to reproduce this behavior a couple of times - when the internet connection gets blocked, I open EddieUI, click exit and after the exit is complete the internet connection is restored. Looking for advice on how to prevent this issue from happening. I have used EddieUI 2.16.3, 2.18.9 and currently on 2.21.8. Network lock is not active, but I have used it in the past. Do the following: In a PowerShell/CMD, execute this: > netsh.exe interface ipv4 set dnsservers "Ethernet 3" static 205.171.3.65 both yes > netsh.exe interface ipv4 set dnsservers "Ethernet 3" static 192.168.0.1 primary yes See if there are any errors when validating. After your tests, revert to DHCP: > netsh.exe interface ipv4 set dnsservers "Ethernet 3" dhcp . Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. xvq 1 Posted ... I ran all 3 commands successfully, both when I had the reported issue and when internet worked fine. Running the first 2 commands did not change anything and no errors showed up. Not sure what you meant by validating. I'll probably do a system reinstall, I've already wasted enough time on this Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1441 Posted ... 18 hours ago, xvq said: Not sure what you meant by validating. It's a check whether the DNS servers work. As there were no errors, we can say for sure the DNS servers entered are valid and working. Not sure why Eddie would not detect those DNS servers, to be honest. If you're about to reinstall, anyway, we'll stop the troubleshooting. Give some feedback on whether this "solved" it afterwards, please. xvq 1 Posted ... Windows reset resolved the issue. Slowly reinstalling software to be able to detect if any specific app is the cause. So far have not installed Eddie. 1 OpenSourcerer reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
