Can't get Air to work with Ubuntu Touch

I followed these instructions to no avail.  The indicator shows green like I am connected, but I have no internet when connected.

I am trying to get this set up on a Jingpad A1 running Ubuntu Touch. After 2 hours I am seeking your help.

No help without the logs, I'm afraid. Not sure where to find them but I'd probably look where the system logs are.
