So I'm still pretty new to this so it may be something simple I haven't come across yet.  I have the VPN working on OPNsense.  I'm currently routing the traffic from the sources I need via an alias.  The thing I'm having an issue with is how to manage multiple VPN connections.  Let's say I want to connect to various countries.  I have not found a way yet to have it setup so I can simply enable a client connection and it works.  I have to also disable the previous LAN firewall rule and enable the rule for the connection I want to use.

Is there a better way?

I use opnsense. and use alias for certain devices.

you may want to create multiple tunnels under vpn > clients.  I think you can have 5 total connections with airvpn.     then if you want to change to another country, change the firewall rule to the tunnel you want.   then reset states and it will work.

otherwise you would have to modify your existing connection with the country you want to connect to.

Yeah, that sounds pretty much like what I'm already doing. I'm not sure exactly what you mean about "reset states", but I have multiple Tunnels setup.  It took me a little while to understand that I needed to create an interface for each one, but once I figured that out and remembered to enable the darn thing it started to make sense.  I was just thinking that there should be a way to make it more automatic.  I'm pretty sure OPNsnese has HA options for Multi-Wan environment, I was wondering if this could be used somehow.  I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.

rules typically do work.  but if you find they are not

I don't think this is what you are after either:  https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/multiwan.html?highlight=failover
