Professor Kislih Shey 1 Posted ... Hey there, For now almost one week, Eddie-UI is not showing up at startup. Sometimes its possible to start Eddie-UI manually, but most of the time nothing happens or I get errors till I kill all tasks in relation to eddie. I tried many different combinations of settings, I unistalled, deleted all related folders and files, reinstalled, reinstalled different versions of eddie-ui - Nothing helps. Deactivated firewall, Windows Defender also, no effect. Any ideas? Share this post Link to post

Professor Kislih Shey 1 Posted ... After hours of work I fixed the problem. Its not 100% sure what fixed it in detail. Did a whole CCleaner registry-fix, after this I deleted the Eddie-Startup Reg-Key manually. Now it seems to work fine again. Share this post Link to post

I remember this fix, it's for a specific version change only, something along the lines of 2.17 or 2.18 to 2.20. You needed to delete a certain registry key related to the elevation helper for Eddie to work. Where I didn't see a connection is that Eddie didn't show for you. For others it always showed an error about not being able to raise privileges. But you fixed it yourself, very good.
