Eddie's Network Lock failed. No warning. Exposed navigation until I accidentally noticed it

Recommended Posts

Hi, about half an hour ago I was connected to the Serbian server. I went to Vytal.io, using LibreWolf as I often do, to check if everything is working fine and I saw my IP, map of my city, etc.! I was exposed. The system is Win 10 Home fully updated, and I have Eddie's Network Lock always on (which had always worked so far).  The problem is that - besides the fact that the internet connection was not blocked - I had no warning that I was exposed! This is the first time this has happened, but it's worrisome. In the meantime, I haven't had any updates on Windows that might have changed anything on the system or in the TAP. I opened the log but what is visible only starts from the moment I connected to a new server.... manually :-( Any suggestions?

There is no way a simple IP API can show your ISP IP address behind a VPN connection if Network Lock is engaged. Something is not right with your config, or NetLock never was engaged. You could paste the support file here (Logs > lifebelt icon) and we'll have a look.

I always keep the NL activated. And I see it when Eddie start, before the connection (at the system start). As I wrote, the only log I've found start from the moment before the new connection(I needed to activate manually)

log Eddie.txt

Well, if it ever happens again, go to the Logs tab and click the lifebelt icon. Do not copy-paste the logs left of the buttons, copy-paste what Eddie puts out in the window it opens when you click the button. :)
