IP Layer inside vs. outside tunnel

Hi,
within the options in Eddie, what is thedifference between Layer beeing inside tunnel vs outside?
Maybe a simple question but I would appreciate any hint on that.

Do you mean the Networking options? If a layer is set to be inside the tunnel, then that layer will be routed through the VPN. For that it must be supported by (aka enabled in) the system.

Yes, in the networking options. Meaning, if IPv4 layer is inside the tunel all traffic over IPv4 is routed over VPN?! I was unsure where to disable IPv6. Wheter in the network setting under windows or just set the IPv6 layer to "blocked" in Eddie.

Not sure why you want that, but the latter is the option for it. The former is a bit extreme, but would make the latter superfluous.

Ah yes, the xenophobic approach. :)You should learn about v6 and adopt it, there's nothing to mistrust there. All you've heard are probably very old arguments against it.
