kaymio 7 Posted ... Dear staff and community members, since a few weeks now I can't find an AirVPN exit that is not spam-blocked by Startpage. Is there a way to circumvent this or to let Startpage know that especially VPN users want to use their search engine. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1442 Posted ... Kinda sus, Startpage trying to mask search queries but hindering further masked users in using it. Keep in mind, though, that Startpage belongs to an advertisement company. There's some notion of an interest in identifying users. What search engine do you use? I couldn't find an adequate replacement. I tried a few like DuckDuckGo, SearX and so on, but they lag behind quite a bit. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1442 Posted ... Who says you can't use multiple engines? I use DuckDuckGo for generic queries. I use DDG's bangs for specifics and alternatives (!se StackExchange, !e eBay, !g Google, !b Bing, etc). Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. SurprisedItWorks 49 Posted ... FWIW, I use Startpage every day from Air's southern US servers (esp Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, sometimes Phoenix and Los Angeles) and have never had a problem. Quote Share this post Link to post
