The "4" is the Firefox Add-on SixIndicator indicating whether the primary connection to the viewed website was made using IPv4 or IPv6. It also shows this info for every connection to a (sub)domain if clicked on it. The 4 is there since DDG doesn't support v6. Nothing is blocked. Unfortunately, the route checker misleadingly prints the 301s in red. Usually no cause for concern. There is no www subdomain on DuckDuckGo, it redirects to duckduckgo.com via 301 code.
