Airvpn modified my linux user

Recommended Posts

Hello, after 3 days using AIRVPN, the airvpn software changed the user of my linux computer to another user called "airvpn" during the night I left my computer on, and blocked access to my computer. If not, why would the airvpn software change my linux user? How does it break up? Help Me...

I'm guessing you're talking about the AirVPN Suite (Bluetit/Goldcrest) as it's the only software run by the airvpn user. But even then none of its features matches what you're describing. It is supposed to have /etc/airvpn/ as its working directory; that's where Bluetit writes some files to.
It could be because the interpretation of "changed the user of my linux computer" is somewhat ambiguous. Can you please describe in detail what exactly was changed compared to before the night you reference? Which files are now owned by airvpn? Also define "blocked access to my computer".

Sorry about what happened. After calmly reading the documentation I found that it was even necessary to create another user, maybe I have performed some commands in parallel with the installation of airvpn that ended up modifying the access to my machine.

Use the history command to uncover that. You could post the commands you used here or in a private message if you want to dig deeper.
