GreyGold 1 Posted ... I recently discovered I'm unable to use Eddie on Windows 10 x64 since it can't obtain the required elevated privileges when starting. I've restarted my system, run Eddie as administrator, run it multiple times... nothing works. Eddie Elevation Service is present, but when I restart it, it immediately exits. Under Task Manager, Eddie-Service-Elevated is not present. I first noticed this with v2.21.0. Rolling back to 2.20.0 and 2.19.7 made no difference. I'm at a loss for what to try next. bluesjunior 43 Posted ... Try changing the setting for Elevation Privileges to start on automatic from manual in Windows Services?. Share this post Link to post
GreyGold 1 Posted ... Thanks for the responses. Elevation Service was already set to Automatic start; it just always exited immediately. OpenSourcerer guided my thinking to a related solution. I completely uninstalled Eddie using Revo, which also removed all related Registry entries, then reinstalled it. Everything's working again. 1 bluesjunior reacted to this Share this post Link to post
