Eddie220 did not complete install but is now working - what do I do next?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I saw the Eddie update so started it.  Going from Eddie 2.19.x to 2.20.0.

The download extracted and started but stopped here (see photo).

I noticed the Eddie Client was still stuck on disconnecting and it would not stop.  So I gave it more time, and it stayed disconnecting.

So, I killed the task.

I decided to reboot and then disconnect Eddie before it connected.

After the restart, Eddie started loading, and I noticed it said v2.20.0.  Then it connected fine.

At this point, what should I do?  Uninstall, reinstall?  Let it be?

Is there any more info I can provide?

Thanks,

V

If it is running fine then don't worry about it. Cheers!

Thank you!

One thing I noticed it when Eddie first starts now, W10 always ask me not to 'install' the service as it needs elevated privileges.  If I don't click yes, it just sits there.
Not sure if that is an Eddie thing, or W10 security issues.

It did not do this before the upgrade.

Did you try this? Did it work? Would be good info for others who have the same problem.

Hi Madrat,

No, I did not try it yet, but oddly, it has not happened in a while.  It is checked on.
I checked it OFF as you suggested.  When my gaming is done, will let you know!

Thank you very much for responding!
