Terry Stanford 11 Posted ... I want to try OpenVPN client instead of Eddie. I have never used OpenVPN (GUI or CLI). I have read this pageand I understand it all except the part which talks about "DNS Push". How do I know whether I need to worry about that or not? Not sure if I should follow that part of the instructions or if I can ignore that. thanks Quote Share this post Link to post
SurprisedItWorks 49 Posted ... (edited) Why are you looking at a 2014 post for guidance on how to do anything? Check out https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/48833-linux-airvpn-suite-100-released/ [Edit: Apologies for my sloppy reading. Somehow I thought you were talking about doing this from linux. If you are Windows user, it's a whole different story!] Edited ... by SurprisedItWorks Oversight Quote Share this post Link to post
Terry Stanford 11 Posted ... Hi. I am looking for any guidance I can. I don't find the forum easy to use and a well-organised up to date set of tutorials would help, it seems tyou have to dig through the forum for what's needed and I think that's what I need, besides I am sure someone referred me to it in the last few days anyway. I need to run OpenVPN rather than Eddie client. I know very little about Linux (yes I am installing on Linux) and that link you posted fried my brain, I am not up to understanding that never mind installing it. I don't even know what "Suite" means, I just know I MUST have OpenVPN running my VPN for what I am doing Quote Share this post Link to post

If you can do it more or less manually via NetworkManager or something, that's an option, too. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. Terry Stanford 11 Posted ... I mean where do I paste it, in that file, somewhere in the middle, in a specific place, appended to the bottom...? Quote Share this post Link to post

The order of these lines does not matter. Each can be anywhere in the config file. You can have them included in every config file at the time you generate them. In the config generator check "Advanced Mode" and then paste those lines into the " OpenVPN custom directives:" text box. 1 Terry Stanford reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
