Eddie "unexpected error" and crash stack

Linux Mint 19.3, eddie 2.18.9. Kernel 5.4.0-54-genericx86_64, Mate 1.22.2. No recent changes I'm aware of to the system.
I've been running eddie on multiple machines, windows and linux for years, never seen this before, but twice now in the past couple of days.
It appears I stay connected, but eddie is gone.
if you need more information, please let me know.
