comodo firewall, with openvpn connection custom ruleset does not apply

Accidentally noticed:

Win7 x64, comodo firewall 12.2.2.7036, only firewall turned on (custom ruleset - so comodo fw asks you if you allow the application to access the net and you can additionally select "remember the decision permanently"),
without an openvpn (v2.4.9 / v2.5.0) connection, comodo fw asks if it allows access to the net (I'm testing on the windows ping / tracert application);
with an openvpn + wintap connection, all traffic passes through FW ?? without comodo firewall notification pop-up, regardless of the fact that the application is not on the allowed list of programs that can go online.

The story repeats with https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free TreeSizeFree / check for updates, without an openvpn connection comodo fw asks whether app should connect, with an openvpn connection the traffic goes through as if fw is not at all, although the application in question is in the firewall- > application rules, set to **not have access to the net**.

I guess i need to change something in global rules.

OMG....the way you configured the Firewall is totally wrong in any aspect.
