Bootstrap failed unique problem

Recommended Posts

Posted ... (edited)

I have an uncommon problem not previously mentioned in these forums. I get the usual
bootstrap error (screenshot below), but what seems to be the problem is my routers gateway preventing access to direct IP-Addresses via a local filter.
Since this is not my wifi connection but someone else's, I do not have access to the gateway to disable this. Is there a way around this, like temporarily connecting to a different network?

The filter blocks access to direct IP's, porn sites, etc.

EDIT: I bypassed the filter by changing MAC address.
I left the post up to potentially help someone in the future with the same problem, but Im very sorry for spamming if this is seen as an unwanted post!

Support can give you bootstrap URLs to try. As these are the community forums, we can't. So follow the advice in the error message and create a ticket.
