ANSWERED {solved] Eddie: Update the Tun Driver doesn work

Win 10 Pro ( always latest Update)
Eddie 2.18.9 Portable

I tried tio update Eddie an then i started Eddie so far so good but then he tries to update the tun tap driver it comes an error.
In the log the folowing error appears: 

. 2020.08.04 13:25:26 - Tun Driver - 0901: 9.24.2; wintun: Not found

Then i started the eddie-wintun-x64 File in the Directory but this doesn't solve the issue

any ideas ?

You didn't exactly quote an error, it's informational. TAP was detected, wintun was not.

wintun only works with the OpenVPN 2.5 tech preview version which is not bundled with Eddie. For this you must specifically download the "original" OpenVPN from openvpn.net.

Same features, but wintun outperforms TAP. The way I heard it, it performs better, reduces latency and improves stability overall. But it's still only a tech preview.

Sure. Think of it as an alpha or beta version. It will eventually become a release.
