What should torrent address detection look like?

When looking at the torrent address detection it comes up with my IP address, no matter what VPN server I use, or none.  When using VPN I can go to whatismyipaddress.com and it will tell me I am in Albania or whatever, but torrent address detection on ipleaks still says I am at my home address in my neighborhood.  This seems wrong, and I am wondering what I can do to fix it.

Well, then your torrent client is not properly routed through the VPN interface. Would have been nicer if you told which torrent client you use. They differ in config options offered.

I am using qBittorrent on MacOS.  I have anonymous mode on, but hat does not seem to help.

Anonymous mode does not what you think it does:

• The peer-ID will no longer include the client's fingerprint
• The user-agent will be reset to an empty string
• Other identifying information will not be exposed to the public directly, such as IP, listening port, etc.

So it simply prevents certain info to be exposed publically.
What you can do: In qBittorrent's Advanced settings, set it to bind to the tun interface. I'm sorry, I don't know exactly if that interface is called like that on macOS. It's the interface OpenVPN uses.
