Eddie & Windows Internet Connection Sharing

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a PC running Eddie.

I want to share the connection to other computers on my network, so I do not need to run Eddie on every computer.

When I setup Windows ICS, its sharing the raw connection. Can I make all traffic pass through Eddie?

Thanks

In the adapter overview, right-click on the TAP interface > Properties. In the Sharing tab, tick Allow other users to connect through this computer or similar and choose the interface you want to share the connection with. WLAN interfaces work best here because you can set them up to accept connections from other wireless devices, but a second physical Ethernet interface will work as well if you connect it to a switch, to which you connect other devices which should use the VPN. Once it's done connect to AirVPN.

It's easier to set up a router connecting to AirVPN and to connect any device you want routed through the VPN to that router because it usually comes with WLAN and also a few Ethernet ports acting as said switch, and all of these can be configured to use the VPN only. :)

@giganerd, thanks, but that what I did.

The issue is that the non airvpn connection is getting shared.

So you mean that this method does not work? A router is probably your best bet, then.

Yes, I have an R7800 running OpenVPN, but its tops out at 70 to 75mbps, Eddie on my PC gets 400mbps+.  Thats why I want to share my PC connection.
