ANSWERED Port forwarding does not work on Ubuntu

Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm also having problems with port forwarding. I setup a forwarded port on the port forwarding page. I tried once using the same port given to me by air on my computer, then I tried again mapping the port given by air to 443. Every time I test on a port testing site, I get "port is blocked." I also tried several different checking sites. When I try the "test" on the air port forwarding page, it seems that it is ok as I get a message that says "checking completed". I guess it would say "error" if there was a problem.

I am on ubuntu and have disabled ufw. Please tell me what I am missing.

Are you sure you use the AirVPN exit IP to connect to whatever you want to reach via port forwarding?

Thanks for your reply. For some reason I was not notified of your answer (within this site), even though I checked the "notify me of replies" box. Anyway, I figured out that my problem was that I was testing without anything listening on that port on my side. When I ran a listening service, all the checks worked correctly. Everything good now :)
