eddie-ui_2.18.9 works on openSUSE TW but the user interface is unusable

Hello all
I have been using AirVPN on openSUSE Tumbleweed for awhile now with no problems, however since I updated the eddie-ui client from version 2.16.3 to 2.18.9 the eddie-ui client screen is virtually unusable - see attached screenshot.
old : eddie-ui_2.16.3_linux_x64_opensuse.rpm
new :eddie-ui_2.18.9_linux_x64_opensuse.rpm

I had no problems what so ever with the version 2.16.3.
Any and all help would be much appreciated

I've read about this in the context of Arch where a few errors in the PKGBUILD result in a very similar view:On OpenSuSE, though, no idea yet. Your system seems up-to-date, too.
You can try installing the complete Mono framework. The package name should be mono-complete.

I installed mono-complete as you suggested but unfortunately that did not help - everything is the same as before.

Biggest difference seems to be the relatively huge jump in the Qt dependency version. I'm also on 5.12.x on Debian testing and don't see this. Maybe it's really that?
We should probably test on KDE Neon or so, it's a Ubuntu LTS-based distribution with bleeding-edge KDE packages, after all. If it shows there, we may have found the cause. Problem is then to see where to look next. Mono maybe?…
