Instead of double-clicking on the Eddie icon in the Applications Folder, do a right click (ctrl-click) on it to get the context menu, and choose "Open". Then macOS will still give you a warning, but offer you the option to open it nevertheless.

Oh, and note that you can't copy/paste your username and password on macOS into Eddie in the usual way (⌘-V or Edit→Paste), but have right click into the field and choose "Paste" from the context menu.
