Network Type Keeps Getting Reset

I am having a little bit of trouble with Eddie 2.16.3.  I have my firewall set up to prevent my browser, chat client, and qbittorrent from using an connection that is not from a private network adapter type; they cannot use domain or public types.  I have also set the airvpn network adapter to private.  The problem I'm seeing is that eddie changes the network type of the adapter back to public every time it disconnects and reconnects.  This prevents the app types listed above from working.  Is there a way to prevent this behaviour from Eddie?

Eddie doesn't change anything like that, Windows classifies it by itself. Maybe you pumped up any security defaults in Windows?

All I know is that it is happening every time I reconnect with Eddie.  I just tried it right now and it happened again.  Since AitVPN is the only difference with my system, from another VPN, I can only assume that's the issue.

Hmm. Can you maybe try Eddie 2.18.x? Doesn't need to be installed, the portable is sufficient. It solved some puzzling issues for other users in the past, maybe also yours?
