Cannot connect to any server

Recommended Posts

I am new to Airvpn cannot connect to any server.

I get the below line in the logs file but could not find any solution in the forum. Anyone found a solution for the below issue?

Authorization check failed, continue anyway (curl: (7) Failed to connect to 127.0.0.1 port 8080: Connection refused - with 'http' (always) proxy and 'none' auth)

Do you have a proxy configured? If no, are you using any firewalls or security software?

Can you please try again with it disabled? I'm thinking its firewall is the culprit.

What are still doing using that TAP driver version?

In Comodo->Application Rules->The above .exe files along with svchost.exe set them as "Outgoing/Allowed".

Thanks Flx and Giganerd, I tried with the antivirus off and adding the rules to the firewall but still could not connect. I think is something related to win8.1 as I was able to connect with no problems on a laptop with win 7

Can you check Eddie's settings a second time? Here it says you have indeed enabled the proxy in Eddie.

Giganerd meant with the firewall disabled not the Antivirus disabled.
Disable Windows firewall for "Private/Public" in Win8.1
Antivirus--->>Stateful
Firewall-->>Custom.
Global Rules-->>https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/17440-guide-fix-for-tap-adapter-in-windows/?do=findComment&comment=75628
In Comodo-->>Advanced Settings-->File Rating-->File list-->
Add the above .exe files if they are not set-as-->>Trusted
Install this TAP-version 9.24.x--https://build.openvpn.net/downloads/releases/tap-windows-9.24.2-I601-Win10.exe

On your Windows 7 laptop do you have a proxy configured? Check.

On your Win8.1 you do have a proxy "just not properly configured" as Giganerd noted.->127.0.0.1 port 8080.

Even both disabled, but as long as Eddie log points out an enabled HTTP proxy these measures won't bite.
