Hello,

I got AirVPN yesterday (Thanks for the Halloween discount 😉 ). I can connect to the vpn with my PC and smartphone, but can not use internet...

Today, in office, with my smartphone, AirVPN works very well! So I suppose the problem is from my router (TL-WR845N). I checked its settings:

  • SPI Firewall: Enable
  • PPTP Passthrough: Enable
  • L2TP Passthrough: Enable
  • IPSec Passthrough: Enable

What shoud I do?

Can you provide a log of a failed connection attempt on PC/smartphone in your network, please?

Four simple things:
There's a guide to AirVPN. Before you ask questions, take 30 minutes of your time to go through it.

Amazon IPs are not dangerous here. It's the fallback DNS.
Running TOR exits is discouraged. They're subject to restrictions on the internet and harm all AirVPN users.

Furthermore, I propose that your paranoia is to be destroyed. If you overdo privacy, you'll be unique among the mass again.

On your PC and after you connected, is it possible for you to ping for example 1.1.1.1? Because the connection log seems alright to me, but it could be DNS.

Erm, okay. These results indicate it's the other way around: Internet when connected but none if not, which reeks of a bug in current stable Eddie v2.16.3 where sometimes your network is not reset back to how it was after you enabled Network Lock. The solution is upgrading to an "experimental" version, which is not so experimental to be honest, almost safe for daily use... you could try that and see if it helps.

On Android, though.. I don't see the problem, I must admit. Can you maybe disable VPN Lock and try a connection? If it still doesn't work, I'd advise reenabling it.

Your assumption about the router is unlikely, but if you run out of ideas, try disabling the SPI firewall and see if that helps.

On Android, I disabled VPN Lock but no change...

On PC, I am on Solus and I can not install eddie-ui (or maybe I don't know...). So I borrowed a laptop with Manjaro and I tested Eddie. Impossible to connect: "Checking route IPv4 failed". How can I fix that?

No idea??? How can I fix "Checking route IPv4 failed"?

I also tried to install Eddie Beta on Manjaro but:
CMake Error: The source directory "/var/tmp/pamac-build-fligi/eddie-ui-git/src/Eddie/src/Lib.Platform.Linux.Native" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.
Specify --help for usage, or press the help button on the CMake GUI.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().

That is right, I'm having difficulties helping you out with this. Have you tried searching the forums a bit, maybe for this error? Use "" to look for the exact match.

About the installation, are you using an AUR helper for this? If so, which one?

Four simple things:
There's a guide to AirVPN. Before you ask questions, take 30 minutes of your time to go through it.

Amazon IPs are not dangerous here. It's the fallback DNS.
Running TOR exits is discouraged. They're subject to restrictions on the internet and harm all AirVPN users.

Furthermore, I propose that your paranoia is to be destroyed. If you overdo privacy, you'll be unique among the mass again.

AUR helper? I am not sure what you mean... I was using Pamac and trying to install eddie-ui-git.

I had searched about my error on the forum, but nothing about "IPv4 failed". So I bought a new router and now everything works!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙄
Probably defective... I don't know, I don't care!

Thank you, giganerd, for your help and your time.

Well, eddie-ui-git is not in the official Arch repositories, it's on the Arch User Repository, called the AUR. A clean Arch install does not access it, you need to use another tool for this, called an AUR helper.

But since you're using Manjaro, the package manager there of course bundles an AUR plugin which accesses it. I was missing that info, therefore I asked about possible helper usage. :)

Or something is configured wrongly. Nevertheless. I'm glad it's solved now and it wasn't even the system :D Enjoy AirVPN!
