connection attempt timed out

hi, since this morning i can't access the VPN as network manager says "connection attempt timed out". I tried with both free and premium config files, i even downloaded new config files, i tried to reboot but it always gives me this error. I am using ubuntu 10.10 and my internet connection is working fine.

Can you tell me what can i do to trace the cause and what can i do to resolve the issue? thanks

i know see your servers are down for maintenance, i guess that's the cause of my problem. Anyway is there a way to check a log in case of connection problems? do i have to use openvpn --log (in case what are the proper flags?) or is there another way? thanks
