JamesDean 10 Posted ... Greetings, I just received a Nexus 7 Tablet with Jelly Bean 4.1.1. I *have* unlocked and rooted the device, but I am at a loss as to what the easiest method is to install OpenVPN. There are two threads: One for rooted pre-ICS, and one for non-root on ICS. Has anyone got their N7 connecting to AirVPN? How To/Links? Thanks, JD Quote Share this post Link to post
JamesDean 10 Posted ... I'll answer my own question: For the Nexus 7, you need to create a folder in the root directory (call it what you want, I chose 'VPN') and inside that, place another folder with your .ovpn file and all the certs. I called it 'Sweden UDP 443'. Then install VPN for Android from Arne Schwab. Go into that app and go to 'All Your Precious VPNs'. Then choose 'Import' from the upper right corner. Highlight the .ovpn file and hit 'Select'. The app will import all your settings. Hit done and it will be added to the list. Selecting an entry will connect to the VPN and an IP check should show the VPN exit server. I am rooted, but I don't know if that matters with Jellybean 4.1.1 JD Quote Share this post Link to post
