New AirVPN consumer having problems

Hey everyone, first time user of AirVPN here. I recently decided to give VPN's a try and chose AirVPN due to great reviews on reddit. I purchased the month plan today and am having extreme troubles trying to get decent downloads.... I have a 100 MB download speed from Spectrum and only receiving less than 100 kbit/s. Am i missing something?
