Unity (game development) application can't connect

Unity has a feature which allows multiple people to access the same project remotely, but it doesn't work when I am connected to an AirVPN server over the Eddie v2.16.3 client. Judging by the posts in this thread at the Unity forums, it may be necessary to use a separate instance of OpenVPN.

 

Is there a way to configure the current version of Eddie so it will work with Unity? If not, and if doing so wouldn't be too much work, might the developers consider updating Eddie to work with Unity?

Does it work with vanilla OpenVPN? Do you need to open ports, judging by how others need to connect to your computer?
