Eddie Android invalid profile

I have downloaded and sideloaded Eddie Android client on my Android box. When I go to load a .ovpn file it tells me it's an invalid profile. I read a forum post that said that you should renane it profile.ovpn. That has not worked either. Is there a trick to the config generator? I selected Android and chose udp/443.

I'm getting the same thing with an .ovpn file I exported from pfSense and was using with OpenVPN for Android.  In my case, I thought it might be that Eddie for Android will only connect to AirVPN servers.  But, the error message of:

 

"Invalid OpenVPN Profile"

 

implies it an issue with the .ovpn, itself.  Have you gotten it working?
