ANSWERED Speed question - Vodafone cable users

Hi,

I've been using Airvpn for serveral years now and never had any speed problems so far.

 

Specs:

Windows 10 64 bit 1803/1809

Fritzbox 6490

200 mbit Vodafone cable line

 

I always used to have around 180 mbit with openvpn running. Great speed ...!

Several weeks ago I noticed that my max. speed is now around 50 mbit regardless which protocol/port I use.

Without openvpn I get 200 mbit.

 

There were no changes made in my setup except the periodical Win 10 updates and there are no errors in eddies log either.

 

Has anybody else similar problems?

 

Is it an ISP problem (throttling) or maybe a new Microsoft gimmick?

 

Any help is appreciated.

Problem solved!

 

It had nothing to do with Eddie or Vodafone.

It was the Core Isolation feature of Win 10.

I disabled it (was enabled by default) and everythings fine again.

 

I guess my old BIOS/mainboard does not support it.
