Fix: disable network lock before upgrading, or very quickly disable network lock after upgrading in the Eddie-UI (if you have already upgraded and you are in a crash loop).

Lacking a time machine, I can't try your first fix. The second doesn't work for me: Eddie crashes even after the network lock is disabled.

Yeah cancel my first "fix" the only way I can get Eddie to not crash is by quickly disabling the network lock after I load up Eddie
