Can't connect to EA's orign

I downloaded orign and launched it and it said it can't connect to EA services. I disabled the VPN and it worked, re-enabled and it stopped.

Why can't I connect to orign via VPN? Is there any way I can exclude just Orign so I don't have to disable the whole VPN?
