I realize this thread almost 6 months old.

 

I like your idea of encrypted DNS lookups.

I have the aforementioned configuration from nguvu.org.

Instead of OpenDNS I use 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare)

 

The setup works great, but encryption would be better for my needs (or peace of mind).

I would like to incorporate your solution with my setup.

How do I proceed with vlans?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Use unbound with cloudflare Dot dns over tls1. 3 even your esni is encrypted configure firefox and done it works like a charm and for pfsense available
