Reduced speed by 50%

Hi, I'm from the Philippines and the nearest server I can connect to is in HongKong.

 

I have a 50mbps speed (upload & download) when with a one digit ping when I'm not using airvpn, but when I connect to airvpn I'll have 20 to 25mbps with 80 to 90 ping.

 

I'm just asking what's supposed to be the problem, is it because of my location? or are there any reasons I am not aware of?
