Both the posteo.de and net websites are blocked. Same with trying to retrieve the emails via Thunderbird.

Tried with 3 servers: Fornax, Alcor and Porrima. 

Checked the route on the AirVPN website, which gives back no errors. However when retrieving emails via Thunderbird it gives a "connection refused" message. Same answer when visiting the website via Chrome. Visiting them without a VPN gives me the website and allowes thunderbird to retrieve emails.

 

Hope this can be resolved since this is my primary email host. They are a privacy friendly company by the looks of it.

Posteo is a staunch supporter of Tor usage, so it seems unlikely they would make policy of blocking AirVPN servers.  Glad it was resolved quickly.
