Installing on Ubuntu

I'm having issues with the install, i tried all of the advice in this link - https://airvpn.org/topic/22350-how-can-i-install-eddie-on-ubuntu-16/ but get the following error when I try to run airvpn by typing from the command line 

 

 

Failed to run mono /usr/lib/AirVPN/AirVPN.exe path=/home/joe/.airvpn console.mode=none as user root.

 

Unable to copy the user's Xauthorization file.

Ubuntu 17.10.

Any help is appreciated.
