Can't connect, time out, rout don't match

I can't connect to any server. This just started today out of the blue. I get either a time out after xxxxx mliseconds or "checking rout don't match" and it disconnects and tries again, forever till I stop it. I also notice in the Client Area here on the site under Current sessions statistics that it shows I've been connected for hours, I assure you I'm not. I have tried to Force disconnection but it just reappears a minute or two later and the time that it says I've been connected starts back from zero. I've tried the Contact form but the day is gone, it's morning now, and still nothing.

I've also deleted the program and all associated files, including the invisible ones to get a fresh start, several times, no joy.

 

I have no clue what's wrong or what to do about it.

 

I guess the 10th time is the charm. I deleted the files again, this time I re-downloaded the client and restarted the computer for kicks. It worked, for whatever reason. I have no idea why. Anyways, I hope it continues to work and will report back if the problem comes back.

While I have anyone's attention who may read this, I've been wondering what to do after Network Lock (I'm assuming) kicks in. I can't connect to the internet at all until I restart the computer. Is there another way? Mac and Win please.
