frost87 0 Posted ... Hi, sorry for my bad english. It's not my native language. And sorry if this is the wrong category.. I use AirVPN since 2 months now and I absolutely love it.Best encryption on the market and 200mbit/sec download speed for me allways. There is just one tinitiny thing that bothers me a little. When i play CSGO normal i have a ping of about 25-30 ms, with the best Air server i get like, who would have guessed, double the ping. It's not a dealbreaker at all but I'm a lazy f*** and wondered if there is a way i could set a kind of exception for everything steam related stuff so I dont have to turn the vpn on and off?!I don't have much technical knowledge and if this question seems totally stupid, excuse me aswell. OpenSourcerer 1445 Posted ... Was haben meine Logs mit der Frage nach einer Ausnahmeregelung zu tun? You face latency issues (issue X) playing a game with your colleagues and think exceptions for Steam IPs in OpenVPN will solve it but you don't know how to do it (issue Y). So you ask for the solution of Y. Unfortunately, it's not a suitable solution as Steam has too many IPs, just like Netflix. Hence, XY problem. Your logs will give us a small insight into your setup. We miss the basics: your OS, your connection properties to AirVPN like server, port, protocol and warning/error messages in the log.Windows 10 and its networking gave the community some issues to deal with.Traffic flow on some ports are sometimes "managed" by ISPs.Cheap routers don't like UDP packets, causing warnings in OpenVPN logs. Some servers are "weak". Many Swiss server don't perform well for me.Some users use old OpenVPN versions, causing trouble. The truth is, all of these points are able to cause your issue in the first place. Knowing your setup will allow us to help you directly without this "what's your OS, which server did you connect to, which protocol and port" kind of questions, and without dirty workarounds.
