Issues with Singapore Servers

Recommended Posts

How to read the speeds:

The bottom one is without VPN. Going up, they are speeds of AirVPN Singapore servers, in alphabetical order.

As you can see, most servers have rubbish speeds, which really make Country Server Config useless as most of the time it points me to servers with bad speeds.

Protocol used is OpenVPN UDP default port. No issues with the client as the result shows some servers really has good speeds.

This has been happening for a day. I tried to make the necessary variables constant to make these results reliable (eg: right beside the router etc.)

Please solve this issue.

Thank you.

I noticed that the Singapore servers vary in speed a lot. They are my lowest ping time so I was trying to use them more, but it's a bit too variable. I don't suspect AirVPN are the problem.  For me, it appears my ISP has better connectivity into Europe than into Asia. Even though ping times to Europe are higher I see higher throughput.

If the speeds are an issue you can always try other countries (HK?) or entirely different regions. Have a look at the routes your packets take into Singapore.

If you use Eddie, you can just blacklist Singapore and anywhere else that you get slow speeds into. You won't be connected to them.
