Eddie - Debian TCP 80

Hi everybady,

in my school network, if I want to use a vpn I'm obliged to use TCP with port 80.

I've tried to use Eddie client but it doesn't work (at home, without firewall I don't have any problems).

If I try to use openvpn (TCP with port 80), without Eddie client it runs.

 

In Eddie client's settings I see in protocol TCP with port 80.

 

What I've to do to make it run correctly?

TCP/443 is essential for HTTPS. If your network admins don't allow it, you should hit them in the face right now. Unless it's a proxy, though, but it doesn't sound like it.

 

Your logs could help, for the sake of comparison you could append logs from Eddie and from vanilla OpenVPN separately as two files or two spoilers (see my signature for a how-to on spoilers).

You're not the first with this error. Unfortunately, there's no solution on these forums yet. All we know is it's occuring when trying to login. I have reason to believe it's a bug of Eddie.

You're not the first with this error. Unfortunately, there's no solution on these forums yet. All we know is it's occuring when trying to login. I have reason to believe it's a bug of Eddie.
