Client won't connect..

The client takes a while to connect to a server, then flushes DNS, the just restarts.. any ideas on a fix? i've tried different ports and that does not seem to help

I think i found a temporary solution to my problem... i disabled Avast! firewall before i connected, then re-enabled it after i connected to Eddie. Idk why i've just now been having problems with it.. maybe it was because of the Windows update? I never had a problem with it before then.
