Problem since updating to newest version

I am running a mac os Sierra 10.12.4. After updating to the newest version, I now have this problem. If I start via the Airvpn program, I get an endless notification of error messages and it will not connect to any server. If I start using Eddie, all works as it used to. I connect to recommended server as normal. I am not really tech savvy, so have no idea what is happening. Any help is much appreciated.

Many people have been complaining about this. The only (temporary) workaround is to restart your computer.

Actually, I think I solved the problem. I signed up for Airvpn a few years ago, so I'm not really sure how this all transpired. I ended up having an "airvpn.app" and an "eddie.app" running at the same time OR an outdated "airvpn.app" trying to run. After updating to the newest eddie, I noticed that under "About", it was actually still showing a previous version. Sorry, don't remember what version it was showing.  "Airvpn.app" was set to load automatically on boot and after the latest update, it started not loading and giving me several error messages. In any case, finally realized that "airvpn.app" was not updating but "eddie.app" was. So I deleted the "airvpn.app" and loaded "eddie.app" on boot instead. Since then, all is running smooth again. So, does everyone else on mac have both airvpn.app and eddie.app? If not, where the heck did the airvpn.app come from?
