Eddie won't launch (spinning beach ball)

I can't get Eddie to launch anymore. I just get the spinning beach ball. Restarting the machine doesn't help. Anyone know how to fix it?

This is on a Mac running Sierra 10.12.4.

Eddie version 2.12.4.
