Forum formatting issue

Is it just me, or does anyone else have a problem with forum formatting here?

What I mean is this: If I select some words and click on the B icon to make it bold, I get the html strong tag. But the forum does not seem to understand that, and prints the tag verbatim. Example follows:

<em>Another example (clicked on the I icon to get italics)</em>
