Slow speed test results

I have been with you a little while now and when I trialled your VPN service it seemed fine.

Recently I happened to do a speed test using speedtest.net and had very slow results compared to what I used to get.

I have a 150/10mbps line and used to be able to max it out. Now I only see 30mbps down and maybe 9 up.

This evening I reconfigured the router and went back to my old VPN provider and immediately got 150/10mbps.

So then I took down the router based VPN and ran your VPN client on my laptop and got the same slow 30mbps performance.

I have tried several of your UK servers, that are local to me,  and they are all about the same.

 

Can you help me get to the bottom of this ?

Well, it's 0200 here and I have been testing for a while.

The most significant change I have made is to increase the snd and rcv buffers to 226144 as per another post I found. This has stabilised things a bit and gives more consistent results.

 

I have also moved to the naos server on port 41185 and I will see if the current performance is maintained over the next day or so.

I too have a 150 connection and have been stuck around 30.

 

Changing those settings I have managed to hit 65max.

 

I am in Canada using Canadian servers, US servers, tried Netherlands servers (faster than US)

 

I have also noticed all the Vancouver servers went down at the same time I the service started to deteriorate.

I have frequent disconnects.  Not sure why as I haven't changed anything.
