First time user : Eddie won't let me login

Hello,

 

I'm having issues with AirVPN already and I just bought it :/ . I'm trying to login in with my username and password. Every time I try it hangs for 5-10 seconds and then it tells me it cannot login (request timed out). Does anyone have any advice or tips?

Are you trying to connect to AirVPN on macOS?

 

If so, download the earlier version 2.10.

 

There is a "bug" with the new version that doesn't let me log in either but the older version works fine.

 

Already contacted support about this so I'm assuming they will get into it.

Hey! Thanks for the response.

 

I tried that and received a different error, pretty much as soon as I click the button "can't login()".

 

Support got back to me and said it might be because of packet filtering that my computer is doing. However, to my knowledge, I don't have any packet filtering on my computer.. :/

Yes, they told me the same but since the old version is working fine, I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the new version of Eddie!

They escalated the problem to Support level 2 and I'm currently waiting for a solution.

 

If nothing else works, you could connect using Tunnelblick.

It's not as simple and elegant as using Eddie but as least it should work while they figure it out.

There's another thing you can try!

 

Please follow this (https://airvpn.org/topic/20620-osx-fresh-install-air-vpn-client-login-fail/) and then try to log in again using Eddie version 2.10.

 

Whenever you switch from one version to the other, I suggest deleting AirVPN.xml. Hope that solves it for you.
