ANSWERED Cannot resolve us.vpn.airdns.org or nl.vpn.airdns.org

I live in Saudi, and I've had no issues for almost a year now on AirVPN. On both my debian based router and iPhone 7, my previously working openVPN connections are failing to resolve these names to start up the tunnel interface. It looks like I can resolve specific server names for tunnels, but not the regional names.

 

I get the same results from 2 different Saudi ISP's, and I get the same results using different DNS servers (Google 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 and OpenDNS 208.67.222.222/208.67.220.220).

 

Any ongoing issues? Kind of an annoying issue for me, since I prefer to use the regional configurations for long-term stability.

I've fixed this. On my router, it crashed and I had to perform a factory recovery operation due to some hardware issues. Need to replace that. Reinstalled OS and reconfigured my openVPN interfaces, works now...

 

Ignore this I suppose. Spent hours in frustration earlier, now it is fine.
