Restrictive firewall - only one server from AirVPN works..

Hello everyone, I am TheDarkOnyx.

 

That aside, I am facing problems with connecting with SSL to any server, for that matter. In my case, my school has a hefty firewall that has DPI recently, and it has been effective. I have since been using STunnel and I am using SSL port 28439, and oddly enough, it has been resetting connection by peer by almost every single server available except the Dheneb server.

 

Is there something I should fix?

Do you use Eddie? Did you use "primary" or "alternative"?

In the *.ssl config files I could find the IP so DNS should not be the problem. Could you try to ping / telnet the ssl server?

e.g. columba:

ping 194.187.251.114

telnet 194.187.251.114 28439

 

Please do it while not connected to airvpn.

Yes, I do use Eddie, portable version. I used both primary and alternative, and they deliver the same results.

 

I pinged the server you provided, and it's working like normal under school firewall.

 

I tried telnet, and it returned nothing.
